Final magazine front cover!!!

This is the finshed tv magazine front cover advertising our soap!!!

I've decided to add the bbc 1 logo to the bottom of the soap logo as it will apear at the end of our advert and we need it to show what channel it will be shown on. however where the logo appears on the billboard/poster the bbc logo is in a diferent place as you would not be able to the the writing.

I've also changed the colour of the writing to a bolder red to stand out from the background and also because the old colour made it look like it had faded!!

Our Soap Logo.....

Following with the theme of the other soap operas of having the background of the logo as a shot of the setting, i have used a birds eye photo of the chew valley area includeing the lake.

I think this logo looks quite effective with the red writing to make it stand out from the background. We are thinking about adding the bbc logo below the writing to show what channel it would be shown on!

Our Soap Logo idea....

Looking back at our research I have noticed that most soap operas including Eastenders and coronation street have a shot of the location as there background for there logo.

for example eastenders has the map of the eastend of london and the themes and coronation street and Emmerdale have a shot of the street.

Billboard.....

Our billboard is now very nearly finished all we need to do is add the writing.

Billboard or 24-sheet Movie Posters are usally 106 x 234 inches, we are going to need to scale this down to 18x9 inches, so that it gives the same effect as it would if it was on the side of the road for everybody to see.

FINAL TWO.....

We have narrowed it down to these two for the final cover! We may change small things like the colour of the title but this will be the basic layout!!

Editing the advert...

Today we have edited the advert quite alot!! We have the soundtrack in place, which we have cut down to just the part of the song we want. We have also added half of the scenes and cut them down to what we want. We will add the rest next time we are editing! We also need to add some effects and the bbc logo, but these will be added at a later date!

Music....

we have chosen the song "Winterwonderland" for our backing music, but using the slow tempo version of the song by "Doris Day" as it fits better with our advert.

finished filming!!!

We have now filmed all the footage needed for our advert and we are now in the middle of editing it all. We were very fortunate over the past month because it has been snowing, it allowed us to film bit outside to set the scene, and that fits in very well with our christmas theme.
